Light is the emissary between architecture and the eye. At Dot Dash, light is our medium to reveal form, material, and texture – to exhibit the built environment and augment the human experience. With offices in New York and San Francisco, Dot Dash focuses on architectural lighting design. The principals’ approach begins with a comprehensive study of the architectural design, materials, constraints, and programmatic requirements. This serves as the foundation for all design and proposals. Our expertise across diverse project types and architectural styles brings innovative design to every project. We are as passionate about the integrative design process as the results, and believe that intimate collaboration yields excellence.
We understand that award-winning projects begin in the studio, but are only realized with attentive communication and analysis, through to project completion. In addition to electrical lighting expertise, Dot Dash brings extensive knowledge of daylighting, control systems, LEED Certification, systems integration, and construction administration. This end-to-end approach allows us the space to see every project with fresh eyes, regardless of scope, scale, or budget.
